Sterling Industries hires 90+ workers to assist in packaging Rapid Antigen test kits for the Federal and Provincial Governments
Throughout the COVID 19 pandemic, federal and provincial governments have looked to Sterling Industries for expertise and the timely delivery of critical solutions. We are excited to announce our latest contribution to the governments’ COVID response: packaging solutions to help scale the availability of rapid antigen tests for Canadians. Coordinating with leading Canadian test manufacturer, Switch Health, and alongside Southmedic Inc, we have moved quickly to provide final packaging and fulfillment of millions of antigen tests requested by both Federal and Provincial Governments.
To help meet the call, Sterling Industries has created and staffed a high-output packaging line, putting more than 90 people to work. This 7-day-a-week operation will assist in making antigen tests accessible for Canadians over the coming months as provinces move towards opening up while managing transmissibility risks efficiently and responsibly.
Sterling’s involvement follows our contributions to Federal and Provincial COVID response efforts, as we designed, manufactured and scaled production of Class 1 Medical Device Face Shields for frontline healthcare workers, delivering approximately 30 million units in a few short months.
Sterling Industries is committed to helping the government and the community during the Covid-19 pandemic.
