STERLING INDUSTRIES ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTORS OF GLOBAL OPERATIONS AND GLOBAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT AS PART OF GROWTH STRATEGY
Sterling Industries, a contract manufacturer of medical devices, announced two new roles within its senior leadership team as part of the company’s continued growth and expansion. John Pleskina, formerly responsible for the company’s Canadian operations, has been promoted to the new role of Director of Global Operations, and Jason Kneen, formerly responsible for quality management systems in Sterling’s U.S. facilities, has been promoted to Director of Global Quality Management.
The new leadership roles were created to accelerate the company’s growth as it enters new markets, and continues to cement its position as a premiere global provider of contract manufacturing for medical devices. Sterling’s CEO, David Van Slingerland, commented that “as we expand our capabilities, add facilities and additional staff, centralizing our Operational and Quality leadership has become a top priority.” The new operational roles will be responsible for integrating systems and optimizing efficiencies across the organization.
“Quality has always been a core value at Sterling, so adding a Director of Global Quality Management to the leadership team is a natural progression for us”, added Van Slingerland. “It’s central to how we achieve exceptional outcomes for our customers, and how we achieve our reputation for quality which is at the heart of growing demand from both long-time and new customers.”
With increased demand for its services, Sterling Industries opened its third manufacturing facility in 2021, as well as expanded their specialized Clean Room manufacturing and assembly capabilities, with upgraded Class 7 (10,000) Clean Room facilities available in both the United States and Canada.
