General Laborer

Based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Sterling Industries is a fast-growing North American based contract manufacturer and assembler of medical devices and sub-components. We help clients deliver successful products by providing scaled production, design-for-manufacturing expertise, supplier consolidation and other critical value chain services.

About the Role

Due to growth at Sterling Industries, we have openings for General Laborers Monday to Friday (or a flexible schedule can be arranged) on first shift (6:30am-4:30pm) and second shift (2pm – 12am), however, shifts can be made flexible. The General Laborer will take up manual labor tasks and support operations on worksite.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Moving materials and inventory management
• Assist with cleaning of equipment and organization
• Handling and transporting materials
• Ad hoc general labor requirements to support to the Operations team
• Adhere to all safety rules and protocols
• Punctual and reliable

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Attention to detail and the ability to follow work instructions.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous general labor experiences an asset
• Excellent communication skills
• High School Diploma
• Team Player
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
